• Email address
• Company name (optional)
• Project description or message (optional)
• Language preference (stored as a browser cookie)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our website. GA4 collects anonymised usage data including pages visited, time on site, device type, and approximate location. This data is processed by Google under their privacy policy. No advertising cookies or third-party tracking scripts are used. You can opt out of GA4 tracking via your browser settings or a browser extension.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

• Prepare and send you a project quote
• Communicate with you about your enquiry
• Improve our services and website experience

We do not use your information for marketing purposes unless you explicitly opt in.

3. How We Store Your Information

Your information is stored securely:

• Quote data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on a private server in Germany (Contabo GmbH). Your data is transferred from New Zealand to Germany, which operates under GDPR — a framework that provides comparable privacy protections
• All data in transit is encrypted via TLS/HTTPS
• Access to personal data is restricted to authorised team members only
• Admin passwords are hashed using bcrypt with a cost factor of 12

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Resend (transactional email, US-based) — to send quote confirmations and communications to your email address. Data is processed under Resend's privacy policy and data processing agreement
• GitHub (code hosting) — our source code is hosted on GitHub; no personal data is stored in the repository

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

5. Cookies

We use minimal cookies:

• Language preference cookie (looneydevs_locale) — stores your chosen language (English or Spanish)
• Theme preference — stores your light/dark mode choice in browser localStorage
• Admin session cookie — used only for admin panel authentication

We do not use advertising or marketing cookies. Google Analytics 4 sets performance cookies (_ga, _ga_<ID>) to distinguish visitors — see Section 1 for details. You can opt out via your browser settings.

6. Your Rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Make a complaint to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner if you believe your privacy has been breached

We retain quote data for up to 3 years from the date of submission, after which it is permanently deleted. You may request earlier deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
