A New Zealand web development company, wherever you are

A local partner, without the local limits

Looney Devs Ltd is a registered New Zealand company based in Mount Maunganui. We work with businesses across the country the same way we work with clients down the road: clear pricing, honest advice and a senior developer you can actually talk to.

Working with a New Zealand team matters more than it first seems. You are in the same time zone, so questions get answered in hours, not overnight. Invoices are in NZD with GST. And we understand local expectations, from the Privacy Act 2020 to the payment methods your customers use.

What we build for businesses nationwide

Every service we offer works just as well remotely:

• Website design for businesses that need to be found and trusted
• E-commerce stores that sell nationwide with NZ shipping and GST handled
• Custom web apps that replace spreadsheets and manual workflows
• MVPs for founders testing a new product
• Integrations that connect payments, bookings, CRMs and accounting
• AI features such as chat assistants, voice agents and document automation

How remote projects run

Remote work only works when communication is better than average, so we built our process around it. You start with an instant, itemised estimate in the quote builder. We confirm scope by email and kick off with a video call. From the first week you have a private preview link and short written updates, so you always know what is done, what is next and what we need from you.

When the site goes live you get a proper handover: what you own, how to update it, and how support works if you need us later.

Proof we can deliver

We do not just build for clients; we run our own products on the same stack. Hire Doris is an AI recruitment platform that interviews candidates by voice, built for employers in New Zealand and Australia, with a sister brand for Spain. Familiagram is a private family tree app for families to build their history together. Both are live, in production and looked after by us.

We also work in Spanish, which helps New Zealand businesses that serve Latin American customers or staff, and Spanish-speaking companies expanding into New Zealand.
